Terms of Use

Last updated 31 October 2026

These terms cover the Quilt app for macOS and this website. By downloading, activating or using Quilt you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use Quilt.

Quilt is made by [Company name], [country] ("we", "us"). You can reach us at support@quiltmac.com.

1. Your license

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use Quilt on the number of Macs your license covers: one Mac for a one-Mac license, two Macs for a two-Mac license. You can move a license to another Mac by deactivating it on the old one and activating it on the new one. Quilt is licensed, not sold. We keep every right we have not given you here.

2. What you may not do

3. The Accessibility permission and your Mac

Quilt needs the macOS Accessibility permission to move and resize windows. You decide whether to grant it, and you can take it back at any time in System Settings. Quilt moves and resizes windows on your Mac, and some apps or windows may refuse to be moved. Use the Undo tiling shortcut, or choose Undo tiling in the Quilt menu, to put windows back where they were. We cannot promise that every app will behave.

4. Purchases and the founding offer

Prices are shown at checkout and may include tax. Payments are handled by our payment provider, Dodo Payments. We never see your full card details. The founding price is for one Mac and is limited to the first 100 customers. When those licenses are gone, the regular price applies. Refund terms will be published before sales open. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under consumer protection law, including any right to cancel a purchase.

5. Updates and changes to Quilt

We may fix bugs, release updates, and add or change features. We may stop supporting old versions of macOS. We do not promise that any particular feature will always be there.

6. Your content

Quilt does not read, copy or send what is inside your windows. The Privacy Policy explains what it does handle.

7. Other companies' names

Apple, Mac, macOS and Stage Manager are trademarks of Apple Inc. Rectangle, Magnet, AeroSpace and any other product names on this website belong to their owners. We use them only to describe how those products work and how Quilt differs. Quilt is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any of them. Comparisons reflect each product's public information as of 30 October 2026 and may be out of date. If you find a mistake, tell us and we will correct it.

8. No warranty

Quilt is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we give no warranties of any kind, including for merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that Quilt will be free of errors or will work with every app, display or version of macOS.

9. Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost data, profits or business. Our total liability for any claim connected with Quilt is limited to the amount you paid for your license. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, and your statutory consumer rights.

10. Ending your license

You can stop using Quilt at any time by deleting it and deactivating your license. We may end your license if you seriously break these terms. When a license ends, you must stop using Quilt.

11. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. We will change the date at the top, and for important changes we will tell you in the app or on this website. If you keep using Quilt after a change, you accept it.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [country or state]. The courts there can hear disputes, except where consumer law lets you use the courts where you live.
